Note added in 2025: I really need to update this page. Since I wrote the info below Staci married Joey and they have a baby girl named Layla and are expecting again this summer. Kelsey has had two more girls (Elowen and Linden) and Megan and Colton have two little boys (Michael and Connor.)

My oldest granddaughter, Staci Kate, was born in 1991. She was everything I could have hoped for, and more. I was only 44 but I felt like I had been waiting forever to be a grandmother. It was every bit as thrilling as I had always imagined it would be. Staci is a typical first born in many ways - particular about a lot of things and a little hard on herself at times. In 2015 she graduated from Wichita State University. She now works as a registered nurse in the maternity ward of a hospital in Wichita. She has loved animals all her life and lives in a apartment with her cats, Jinx and Weasley.

My second granddaughter, Kelsey Hope, was born in 1994. I was every bit as pleased to be a grandmother as I was the first time. Kelsey is very smart and has a unique way of looking at the world that makes her amusing and interesting to be around. She got her Bachelors Degree at Pittsburg State University in just three years and then got a Masters Degree in school psychology. She works as a school psychologist. Kelsey got married to Tyler in 2019 and they had my great-granddaughter Rowan in 2020. They live on a small farm in southeast Kansas. They have lots of animals.

My youngest granddaughter, Megan Kile, was born in 1995. The experience was no less exciting the third time. Sometimes Megan looks and acts the way you would expect the baby of the family would. However, behind those big blue eyes is a lot of determination. When she sets her mind to do something she is very likely going to do it. She got her teaching degree at Wichita State University and teaches newcomer classes for children who are new to the US and need to learn English. In 2020, Megan married Colton. They live in a mobile home with cats, Arrow and Atlas, and dogs, Apple and Almond.

When my son-in-law was still a police officer we had the girls' photo taken with some of his gear. Because they like to sing the theme song from "Cops" I used that as the title for the scrapbook page.
