Bubble Bath

Once I'm in my bubble bath
I like to stir up more.
Half the suds go in my eyes
And half go on the floor.

The fun is in the bubbles 'cause
They giggle on my skin,
And when I stick them on my face
They dangle from my chin.

And when I splash them hard enough
They pop and disappear,
And then my bath time's over 'cause
I've made the water clear

After a Bath

Hands to wipe
and fingers and toes
and two wet legs
and a shiny nose.

Just think how much
less time I'd take
if I were a dog

I know washing your body
is really quite a bore,
But you'll just have to trust me,
That's what the bubbles are for!

The Washing Place

What is all this washing about,
Every day, week in, week out?
From getting up till going to bed,
I'm tired of hearing the same thing said.
Whether I'm dirty or whether I'm not.
Whether the water is cold or hot,
Whether I like it or whether I don't,
Whether I will or whether I won't,
"Have you washed your hands, and washed your face?"
I seem to live in the washing-place.

Whenever I go for a walk or ride,
As soon as I put my nose inside
The door again, there's some one there
With a sponge and soap, and a lot they care
If I have something better to do,
"Now wash your face and your fingers, too."

Before a meal is ever begun,
And after ever a meal is done,
It's time to turn on the waterspout,
Please, what is all this washing about?

Something to think about:
Why is it that no matter what color of bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

The Bubble

I blew a great big bubble
While chewing gum today.
It stretched out wide before it popped;
I'm really pleased to say.
A little gum got on my cheeks,
And in my nose and hair.
My eyebrows felt a little weird,
But I didn't really care.
My ears were just a little plugged.
Some gum was on my chin.
The collar of my Oxford shirt
Was sticking to my skin.
The bubble was enormous,
The noise was very loud.
My mother wasn't happy,
But I was very proud!
