Ireland ABC List

See this wonderful list at Ireland From A – Z

40 Shades of Green

Draw an outline of Ireland whatever size you want. Make a duplicate copy of the shape. Draw a one-inch grid over the duplicate shape. (or a larger grid if the shape is very large). Number the pieces to help in reassembly then cut them apart.
Cut the pieces from duplicate or excess photos (or cropping scraps). Use everything green - clover, grass, fields, foliage, trees, etc. All the inner pieces are just squares but the edge pieces will require a pattern.
Adhere the squares to the shape on the page. For a somewhat different look you can cut the pieces smaller so there is a little white space between them. You can also cut the pieces free hand if you like a slightly irregular look.

Irish Blessing

May those that love us, love us.
And those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping!

Using the green pen, I bordered the entire page with the Victorian ruler and wrote the "blessing" on that border, starting in the upper left-hand corner. I cut out 3 hearts with the geometric templates and arranged them like a shamrock (I freehanded a stem from the PMP also) in an upper corner, near where the "blessing" began.  I got the blessing from a Dear Abby column. Irish Friendship Wish

May there always be work for your hands to do
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

The Shamrock

For each petal on the shamrock,
This brings a wish your way,
Good health, good luck, good happiness,
For today and everyday.

An Irish Prayer

May God
Grant you always...
A Sunbeam to warm you,
A Moonbeam to charm you,
A Sheltering Angel
so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to cheer you,
Faithful friends near you,
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you!

When Irish Eyes are Smiling

When Irish Eyes are Smiling,
Sure it's like a morn in spring
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.

When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay
And when Irish eyes are smiling
Sure they steal your heart away.

Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration!

Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter
Lullabies, dreams and love ever after.
Poems and songs with pipes and drums
A thousand welcomes when anyone comes...
That's the Irish for you!
