I gave each of my granddaughters a 7-inch album for graduation (sort of an overview of their life). I had three more albums so asked if they wanted them for bucket lists or blessings books and if they wanted them decorated or plain. They all wanted bucket list books and wanted me to do the decorating. I asked them what colors, themes, and titles they wanted. (I don't care for the term 'bucket list', especially for young people). The dreams file is good place to find title ideas.
These were my first albums without photos and it was a lot of fun. I mostly used paper, stickers and die-cuts I had on hand. I had just got a border maker and a Cricut so was able to try those out.
Each book has a title page, with poems or quotes on the next page. I coordinated the facing pages in case they wanted to use several photos of an item they cross off the list. The last few pages are lined so they can make their lists. I put quotes at the tops of those pages. If you don't have lined pages you can put some lined paper on the pages.
I kept the pages simple and gave them extra paper to mat photos, and extra stickers, borders, and cut-out shapes to use if they want more decoration.
Below are some notes about the albums and sample photos of the pages. Sorry about the photo quality - I had the albums put together and the page protectors on before I thought to scan them so used a camera instead.

Notes about Staci's book

Staci came up with ideas right away - she wanted "Adventure is Out There" as the title (quote from the movie "Up") with shades of blue. She didn't know what theme so after googling the movie "Up" (which I had never heard of), I suggested balloons and stars, which she liked.

The quote and poem on page 2:
Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it you can make it so.
Dream what you want to dream
Go where you want to go
Be what you want to be
You have only one life and one chance
To do all the things you want to do.

The quotes on the list pages:
The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.
By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.
The stars exist that you might know how high your dreams can soar.

I used the Cricut to cut out the letters and stars for the the title page.
On the second page the poem and quote are on cloud shapes.

I used stickers and paper on the third example
The fourth example was done with the border maker.

I used blue star paper and stars cut out on the Cricut for the sixth example.

Notes about Kelsey's book

Kelsey said she wanted Pitt State red and yellow (where she is currently working on her master's degree) along with dark blue and purple (like in the galaxy). She wanted an abstract theme and said she would leave the title up to me.
I emailed her to confirm that 'the galaxy' wasn't another movie I never heard of and she emailed a picture of the actual galaxy in the colors she liked. I also asked her if 'abstract' just meant shapes rather than objects or if she had something more 'Picasso-ish' in mind - fortunately she meant shapes.
I gave her some titles ideas and she selected "Dare to Dream".

The poem on page 2:
If you can imagine it,
You can achieve it.
If you can dream it,
You can become it.
Whatever you can do,
Or dream you can,
Begin it.
Boldness has genius
And power and
Magic in it.

The quotes on the list pages:
So many of our dreams seem impossible, then they seem improbable…and then, when we summon the will, they become inevitable.
The stars exist that you might know how high your dreams can soar.

The first idea came about by accident when trying to find the best layout for some triangles.
The second idea has blue star paper and red design line stickers.

I came up with the third example because I didn't have enough paper to cover both pages.
The fourth idea turned out cute but it was very tedious cutting out the zigzag paper.

Notes about Megan's book

Megan liked Staci's idea of using the movie "Up" as an inspiration. She decided on "My Adventure Book" as the title (something else from the movie, "Up"), shades of purple and balloons for the theme.

The quotes on page 2:
The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.
The sky's the limit when you heart is in it.
Reach for the moon. If you fall short you may land on a star.

The quotes on the list pages:
Every mountain top is within reach if you keep climbing.
Try to believe that if you take the leap you'll be taught how to fly.
Look at life through the windshield, not the rear view mirror.

On the second page I used larger balloons to put the quotes on.
