Betty J. McArdle, 75, passed away at her home in Lawrence, KS, surrounded by family on December 15, 2022. Betty was born May 24,1947, in Garnett, KS, the daughter of Fred and Hilda Pickert. She graduated from Garnett High School in 1965, she married John McArdle December 10, 1966. Since 1998 she has lived in Lawrence, KS where she worked as a secretary for KU Endowment.
Survivors include her husband of the home John McArdle, a daughter Terri Atwood of Lawrence, Kansas, a son Brian McArdle of Shawnee, Kansas, a sister Rosalie Waner of Lawrence, Kansas, two brothers Gerald Pickert and his wife Carol of Richmond, Kansas, Leon Pickert and his wife Lynn of Lawrence, Kansas, two grandchildren Megan Atwood and Adrianna High, and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, in Garnett, Kansas.

Info as of 2015 Betty and her husband are both retired and live in Lawrence, KS. They have two children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
