2022 update from Herb "Kay and I are enjoying retirement and traveling as much as we can. Although not as much as before COVID. Fortunately we were blessed and remained healthy throughout the pandemic. We play bridge once or twice a week. I golf once a week. We are both doing well and have no major health problems.
Info as of 2015 Herb went to KU for a year before entering the Air Force, where he served for a number of years. He was in Nebraska, then Thailand, then Denver in 1970. He married Kay there in 1971. She is an RN. They moved to Michigan in 1973. There he was promoted to Master Sergeant (E7). He graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1980 and applied to Officers Training School. He received his commission in 1981. He became a Launch Officer at a WY air force base. In 1986 he was assigned to Vandenberg AFB in CA. He was an instructor in the missile school and became a Captain while there.
Herb and Kay have two children, Heath and Kimberly. They live in Aurora, CO.
Herb and Kay love to travel - especially Geocoaching. Herb still loves sports but mostly watches now. His favorites are KU basketball and Denver Bronco football. He loved the Royals run to the world series last year.
