Linda (Miller) Sibley

Info as of 2015 After graduating from Pittsburg State Teachers College, as it was called then, Linda taught in Garden City for six years. She married Doug Sibley in 1971 and they moved to Omaha, TX in 1980. They have three children (Sonya and twins, Derick, and Shane) and six grandchildren (Annabelle, Carson, Jaxson, Elizabeth, Samson, and Addilyn). Sonya is a music teacher, Derick a business manager at a school district, and Shane is a computer teacher and pastor.
Doug became a football defensive coordinator and head track coach. After Linda's children were in school she went back to teaching first grade. In 1998 she got a masters in school counseling. She retired from teaching in 2002, a year after Doug passed away. She then opened an in-home daycare which she retired from in 2014. Linda is currently a Pampered Chef consultant.
Linda still lives in Omaha, TX where she served on the city council for several years. She enjoys camping and traveling. She went to England, Scotland and Wales in 2004 and would like to do more overseas traveling. Linda also enjoys keeping her grandchildren several days a week, crocheting, sewing, DIY projects and working in the yard.
