Ronald Kenton McCain, age 61, of Garnett, passed away at his home, Wednesday, October 22, 2008. No services are planned. Ronald was born Sept. 24, 1947 in Garnett, Kansas, to Wilbur Eugene and Wilma Maxine Ashburn McCain. He graduated from Garnett High in 1965 and later enlisted in the United States Navy and served until being discharged in 1971. His occupation for most of his adult life was a cable splicer for the telephone industry. Survivors are his wife Michelle of the home; daughters, Angela McCain of Garnett, Ronda McCain of Broken Bow Oklahoma, Reina Kratzberg of Garnett; brother, Gene McCain of Garnett; sisters, Sharon Kilet and Teresa Hamm both of Garnett; and 8 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Notes:
One of Ron’s favorite songs was Charlie Rich’s "Rollin’ with the Flow" – which he felt described his attitude about life.
Ron's middle name (Kenton) was from the city he where he was born. He didn't like it because he thought it was weird to be named after a town.
Ron served in Vietnam while in the Navy. He died after a long illness. He was cremated and buried in the Garnett Cemetery.
