2022 updateRon is retired but says he always seems to have lots of projects to do around the house, or for friends. He loves to travel, especially if he can drive there. He also enjoys anything to do with family, friends and classmates.

Info as of 2015 Ron married Jeanne Poss (from the GHS class of '68). They live in Merriam, KS. They have three daughters and eight grandchildren. (1) Kim lives near Oakland, CA. She has two sons, Evan and Tyce. (2)Beth live in Bentonville, AR. She has three daughters, Deveney, Kaeden and Annelise. (3) Amy lives in Lee's Summit, MO. She has a daughter Charis (pronounced Karris), and two sons, Eli and Griffin - who is called Finn.

Ron worked in construction/trucking most of his working years. He was employed by Consolidated Freightways, they declared bankruptcy 87 days before he was eligible to retire. He was hired by ABF and ended up working eleven months to get in those last few days, so technically he is an ABF retiree since 2004, but goes to all the CF shin-dings instead. Jeanne retired in 2014 after a long career as an RN.

Ron enjoys working in the yard, fixing things, and making things better that aren't broke (that's his version, Jeanne has a different opinion!). Ron and Bob Manning hang out together a lot and take frequent road trips.
Ron and Jeanne enjoy traveling and spoiling their grandchildren as often as they can. According to Ron they are looking forward to doing a Panama Canal cruise as soon as Jeanne saves enough money out of her social security check to pay for it ;-)

Ron was born March 6, 1947. He served in the Army National Guard. Below is Ron in the 1960s, his senior picture, and in 2010.
